Chris Evans has confirmed that he will appear on Strictly Come Dancing in 2019.
The radio presenter has long been rumoured to appear on the show, and now he’s finally admitted, “Well, I have said yes.”
The 52-year-old appeared on BBC’s The One Show, and revealed that he met the editor of Strictly and was warned “it’s not as easy as maybe you imagine it will be.”
Chris admitted that he wasn’t one of those people who want it to be kept quiet.
He said, “I think what’s funny about it, everyone puts it off and tries and keep it a secret. No. Announce now: we’re doing it.”
Chris recently announced that he was quitting his BBC Radio 2 show and returning to Virgin, where he originally started out almost 20 years ago.
The radio presenter’s listenership figures decreased this year, sliding below nine million listeners a week for the first time since 2012.
