Piers Morgan publicly apologises to Ariana Grande after One Love concert

Piers Morgan has publicly apologised to Ariana Grande, after her One Love concert in Manchester last night.

The Good Morning Britain host previously criticised the 23-year-old singer for jetting back to the US after a suicide bomber killed 22 people and injured over 100 after her concert at the Manchester Arena on May 22.

However, the controversial TV star has now admitted that he “misjudged” her – and praised her for organising such a “magnificent night”.

“I misjudged you, @arianagrande & I apologise. You’re an admirable young woman & this is a magnificent night. Respect. #OneLoveManchester,” he wrote, alongside a picture of her hugging a young fan on stage.

“2 weeks after ISIS bomb a pop concert, a bigger & better one’s held in same city. What better way to say F**K YOU? #OneLoveManchester,” he added.

Piers had previously hit out at Ariana for not visiting the victims of the horrific terrorist attack that took place after her concert.

“If the Queen can visit the victims in hospital, so can the star they paid to see,” he tweeted at the time.

“I expected her to stay, visit & comfort her wounded fans & relatives of those who died.”

However, Piers has now been forced to eat his words as the brunette returned to the UK this week, and visited her injured fans at the Children’s Hospital in Manchester.

The pop star has also been commended worldwide for organising the One Love concert to raise funds for the victims and their families.

Ariana was joined by a host of her musical pals, including Niall Horan, Katy Perry, Imogen Heap, Coldplay, The Black Eyed Peas, Miley Cyrus, Take That, Robbie Williams, Liam Gallagher, and Pharrell Williams.

The songstress had everyone in tears by the end of the night as she belted out a gorgeous rendition of Somewhere Over The Rainbow.
