Philip Schofield has broken his social media silence for the first time since leaving This Morning.
The TV presenter announced his shock departure from This Morning in May last year, amid reports of a “feud” between himself and his co-host Holly Willoughby.
Phillip subsequently admitted to having an affair with a younger man, who was one of their colleagues, and immediately parted ways with both ITV and his talent agency YMU.
The 62-year-old posted a picture of his dog Alfie sitting at the end of his bed watching the Formula 1 racing.
Philip captioned the post: “Thankfully, Alfie is a big @f1 fan 🥰🥰”
This is the first Instagram post from the TV presenter since the 7th of May 2023.

Philip’s unexpected social media return comes after he hinted at a TV comeback last week.
The 62-year-old sent fans into a frenzy after he was spotted enjoying dinner with Declan Donnelly, nearly one year after leaving the ITV show.
Almost one year after the scandal, Phillip was spotted out for dinner in London with one of ITV’s top presenters, Declan, in photos obtained by The Sun.
It’s understood friends of the presenter have been pushing him to make a return to TV, however, he still has his reservations.
A source told the publication: “Since he left This Morning, Phil has been held up by the support of friends like Ant, Dec and Alison Hammond.”
“They have all been rallying around him and their support, especially from Dec who is such a good friend, has really helped Phil.”
They continued: “Some TV executives have been in touch with Phil about a possible return and his friends have told him he should consider it.”
“Phil is still shell-shocked by everything that happened last year and is happy at the moment to focus on rebuilding his life with the support of his friends and family.”
“Whether he will make a comeback — whether it’s on TV or radio — is still undecided but the offers are there if he wants to pursue them.”
“His friends have told him they will support him all the way,” the source added.
After he left This Morning in May, ITV launched an inquiry into the affair between Phillip and the younger man, which later cleared bosses of a cover-up.
It also uncovered no further damaging claims about the former host’s relationship with the young runner on the show.
