Peter Andre has warned fans to be vigilant online, after he found out people were pretending to be him on social media.
The singer has revealed that scam artists have attempted to scam his fans out of thousands online.
In his New! magazine column, he urged his fans to be careful by writing, “If you receive a message on Facebook Messenger, Instagram or Twitter asking for any kind of money or bank details, please do not reply – report it.”
Peter was made aware of the crime after one of the targets contacted him to ask if he had sent them a friend request.
The father-of-four received messages from other victims to say the impersonator tried to steal thousands from them, and even tried to meet up with them in person.
The singer ensured his fans that the issue was being investigated by the police.
