Noel Gallagher just did something amazing for Manchester – despite missing One Love gig

Noel Gallagher may have disappointed a lot of Oasis fans by not showing up to the One Love Manchester concert on Sunday night – but he’s made up for it in the best way.

While Noel’s younger brother Liam lashed out at him on Twitter by branding him a “sad f**k” for missing the concert – which was organised to raise money for the victims of the Manchester terror attack on May 22 – Noel has quietly made an incredible gesture.

The 50-year-old has been donating all of the proceeds from Oasis’ 1995 hit Don’t Look Back In Anger to the We Love Manchester fund since the bombing.

The song, which was written by Noel, became an unofficial anthem for the victims of the Manchester terror attack, that took place after Ariana Grande’s concert at the Manchester Arena on May 22.

A source told the Mirror, “Very soon after the attack, Noel contacted the charity and offered to donate subsequent royalties from the track to the victims’ families. But he insisted it was done on the proviso that it was not publicised.”

Yesterday, journalist Simon Kelner revealed on inews, “I happen to know that Noel has been donating all profits from sales of ‘Don’t Look Back In Anger’ since the bombing to the We Love Manchester campaign.”

Noel later acknowledged that the claims are true, as he retweeted a link to the article on his Twitter account.
