Montana Brown begs fellow reality stars to ‘be kinder’ during emotional eulogy at Mike Thalassitis’ funeral

The reality star's funeral took place today

Montana Brown delivered an emotional eulogy at Mike Thalassitis’ funeral this afternoon.

The brunette beauty, who appeared on Love Island alongside Mike in 2017, begged fellow reality stars at the funeral to “be kinder” and “check in on each other” during her speech.

According to The Sun, Montana said: “The whole nation was shocked by this, and this isn’t something you forget.”

“I’m looking at everyone right here and asking you to change yourself, change how you live your life, change how you love your loved ones, and also change how you treat strangers.”

“I can see a lot of reality faces in the room, please do not let this pass you by. It’s so hard, the rejection, the competitiveness, the need to constantly look ok on social media,” she continued.

“So let’s learn from this. We’re all in the same boat. We all go through the same stresses. Let’s just be kinder, be nicer, more genuine, let’s check in on each other, life’s too short.”

A tearful Montana added: “Mike I truly believe you exhausted every avenue to avoid this outcome as I know you knew you were loved by so many people.

“You’re kind, you’re generous, and sometimes very lairy, but that’s the Mike we all cherish and love. I know there’s people in this room who’d give anything to have you back. You were so misunderstood, and I feel privileged to have been your friend.”

As expected, a host of famous faces from the reality TV world turned out for Mike’s funeral, including Love Islanders Amber Davies, Johnny Mitchell, Marcel Somerville, Jamie Jewitt, Camila Thurlow, Samira Mighty, Ellie Brown, and Zara McDermott.

Love Island host Caroline Flack also attended the service, alongside Towie stars Mario Falcone and Joey Essex.

Irish model Ellie O’Donnell was also pictured among mourners. The 22-year-old was falsely described as Mike’s girlfriend following his death, but Ellie insisted that they were just good friends.

Meanwhile, Mike’s famous ex-girlfriend Megan McKenna was noticeably absent from his funeral today.

Following Mike’s sudden death, the 25-year-old was forced to fly to the US to honour her country music commitments in Nashville.

At the time of his passing, it’s believed Mike was mourning the death of his beloved grandmother, who he was caring for.

According to reports, the star was also struggling to get over the loss of his close friend, who died suddenly on Christmas Eve.
