Molly-Mae Hague opens up about her endometriosis diagnosis ahead of surgery

Molly-Mae Hague has opened up about her endometriosis diagnosis ahead of her surgery.

The 22-year-old was diagnosed with the painful condition last month, after months of suffering “excruciating” periods.

In her latest YouTube video, the Love Island star admitted the pain can be so bad that she’s unable to stand.

She said: “I know it’s not a topic that everyone wants to hear about or understands because it’s not a topic that everyone is affected by.”

“I actually got a lot of backlash in one of my last videos when I spoke about it, I got so much backlash. The amount of tweets and DMs I got from girls literally being so nasty towards me, saying I am not educating people properly.”

“Some girl actually messaged me and said I’m trying to start a trend and make it cool to have endometriosis,” Molly-Mae revealed.

“I have had every kind of poke, prod, scan, ultrasound, internal, external – you name it, the dignity is gone. It’s never to be seen again. And do you know what, that’s fine I’m not that person that finds things like that embarrassing.”

“I’m just glad I can now get it sorted and get the surgery and hopefully once and for all get rid of the period pains that are probably on the same level of labour.”

“It gets to the point that I literally can’t stand up, I’m screaming in pain, no pain killer will make me feel any better. I have to take days and days off work. I feel like I have literally been in a car crash after I’ve been on my period – it’s just not normal.”
