Molly-Mae Hague has revealed she’s “on the road to recovery” after suffering a “really intense” illness following her recent trip to Mexico.
The Love Island star spent more than a week in Tulum shooting a campaign for her fake tan brand Filter By Molly-Mae, staying in the five-star Casa Malca resort.
The 22-year-old returned home to the UK earlier this week, where she has been recovering from a bad bug.
Taking to her Instagram Stories on Tuesday, Molly-Mae said: “Hey guys how are we all doing? I feel like I’ve not come on here for so long.”
“Obviously I’ve been away for work and I ended up extending my trip. It feels so nice to be home, but I have been recovering from… I think it was just a bug. It was really intense.”
“I’m definitely on the road to recovery now. I’m feeling a little better today,” she insisted.
The social media star previously admitted she “felt guilty” about posting glamorous snaps from her holiday amid Russia’s attacks on Ukraine.
She said: “Given everything that’s happening in the world right now I feel it’s impossible to carry on with life as normal without feeling guilty.”
“I’m currently away for work shooting a campaign but haven’t known whether to share as usual for the people that come on Instagram to escape.”
