Michelle Obama and Barack Obama had a sleepover with the Queen and her family in 2011 and now the former first lady is revealing what it was like having a sleepover in the famous palace.
The former First Lady was speaking at a MUSE event when she spoke about the royal family.
“I think by the time we had the sleepover we had enough interacting with them, the surprising thing is folks wanted to be treated normally”
“Everybody is happy when all the people are gone, they want to be hugged, they want to be touched. They gossip.”
The former first lads was asked if the cooking was better at the White House or Buckingham Palace.
“I don’t want to insult anybody, American food is just better, ” but added that the Queen has better china.
“Everything is gold, we had seen the gold room. There’s a room where they keep all the gold”
“It was Sasha’s birthday and the Queen opened the house and she let us see that room.”
Michelle also shared some interesting things about what her family seen in the palace.
“During the state banquet, the plate that I thought was the charger, that was the plate. They put food on the gold charger”.
The Royal family have become very close with Barack and Michelle Obama.
With Prince Harry and Meghan Markle due to get married on the 19th of May, invitations for the guest list will be sent out soon and we are sure the Obama’s will be on the list.
