Meghan Markle’s family will reportedly receive their very own family coat of arms ahead of her royal wedding to Prince Harry.
PEOPLE have reported that the Markle’s, in particular Meghan’s father Thomas Markle, will receive a family coat of arms, which is traditionally given to the father of the bride before a royal wedding.
Kate Middleton’s father Michael Middleton was presented with one a week before she married Prince William back in 2011.
The Middleton coat of arms featured three acorns, representing their three children, Kate, Pippa and James. The acorns also represented their area of West Berkshire, which is home to many oak trees.
There is also a gold chevron in the middle of the coat of arms, which represents Kate’s mother, Carole, whose maiden name is Goldsmith.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge unveiled their very own Conjugal Coat of Arms two years after their wedding day.
Their coat of arms features separate shields, representing both husband and wife.
