Meghan Markle was the “surprise guest” at Queen Elizabeth II’s staff Christmas party earlier this week.

On Monday evening, the actress and her royal fiancé Prince Harry attended the festive bash at Windsor Castle in London.

The Daily Mail’s Royal Correspondent Rebecca English tweeted, “Meghan Markle was a surprise guest at the Queen’s annual staff Christmas party at Windsor Castle on Monday.”

“One person who met her told me that she was ‘charm personified’. ‘She held out her hand & said ‘Hi, I’m Meghan’. She was unbelievably beautiful and Harry looked so proud’,” she added.

The news comes after it was revealed that the American actress will spend Christmas with the Royal Family at Sandringham – which is a significant break from tradition, due to the fact that Meghan and Harry have not yet married.

A Kensington Palace spokesman recently told reporters, “You can expect to see the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince Harry and Ms. Markle at Sandringham on Christmas Day.”

According to reports, the happy couple also attended the Kensington Palace holiday party with Prince William and Kate Middleton on Wednesday evening.

Prince Harry and Meghan will tie the knot in May 2018 at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle.
