Meghan Markle seemed to put her hatred of bloodsports aside on Boxing Day, as Prince Harry and members of the Royal family went hunting in Sandringham.

The Duchess of Sussex, who is expecting her first child next year, joined her new family members for their annual ‘cold cuts’ Boxing Day feast – after her husband spent the morning shooting pheasants with Prince Charles and Prince William.

After the boys spent the morning bagging pheasants, Meghan and her sister-in-law Kate Middleton travelled to Wood Farm, a five-bedroom farmhouse, to have lunch with everyone – including the Queen and Prince Philip.

An insider told the Daily Mail: “There is a special de-robing room on the side of the house and they all go in there and take off their muddy clothes and boots.”

“Then they go into a side room which is specially designed for shooting parties where they toddle around in their socks helping themselves to lunch. The whole thing is incredibly relaxed and everyone is normally in a great mood.

“Although he can’t shoot anymore Prince Philip loves being there and so does the Queen. She will be delighted that Kate and Meghan have sorted out their problems and that the year has ended on a high with the whole family in harmony,” the insider explained.

After lunch, the men continued shooting while Meghan and Kate returned to Sandringham for tea with the Queen and Prince Philip.

The annual Boxing Day hunt and feast is a new tradition for Meghan, who has previously described herself as a “principled animal lover”.

Although Meghan has always opposed of bloodsports, she understands that Harry has been shooting at Sandringham since he was 12.

A source said: “Meghan has never had an issue with Harry shooting, as it is something he has done for many years.”

It’s believed Harry and Meghan departed from Norfolk last night, to reportedly spend some time with Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland.
