Meghan Markle is confirmed as guest editor of Vogue’s September issue

The Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle has been officially confirmed as the Guest Editor of British Vogue Magazine’s September Issue.

The mist important issue in any magazine’s calendar, September 2019’s Vogue will be a special edition, entitled Forces for Change.

Meghan’s vision for the tome involves a collaborative collection of  changemakers who have smashed glass ceilings and made real change in their areas of expertise.

The magazine will include an interview Meghan and former First Lady of the United States, Michelle Obama.

It also includes an interview between Dr Jane Goodall, world-renowned ethologist and primatologist, and Prince Harry.

The cover features a collage if women who’s words are within it’s pages – including Irish activist Sinead Burke.

Sinead’s portrait appears alongside Jane Fonda’s, Salma Hayek’s, and Adwoa Aboah’s. A blank space is left on the cover, potentially to feature Meghan’s portrait on the printed edition.

“Guest Editing the September issue of British Vogue has been rewarding, educational and inspiring,” Meghan said on her official Instagram page.

“To deep dive into this process, working quietly behind the scenes for so many months, I am happy to now be able to share what we have created.”

“A huge thanks to all of the friends who supported me in this endeavour, lending their time and energy to help within these pages and on the cover.”

“Thank you for saying “Yes!” – and to Edward, thank you for this wonderful opportunity.”

Meghan is the first royal to have guest-edited British Vogue.
