Meghan Markle honoured Prince Harry’s late mother, Princess Diana, after announcing their baby news in the sweetest way.

On Monday, the couple confirmed that they are expecting their first child as they touched down in Australia to begin their first royal tour as a married couple.

After Kensington Palace announced their happy news, Meghan stepped out in a stunning white dress made by Australian designer Karen Gee – but everyone was talking about the Duchess’ meaningful choice of jewellery.

The mum-to-be wore Princess Diana’s gold and diamond butterfly earrings, as well as her gold bracelet.

During their first stop at Admiralty House while meeting with Governor-General Sir Peter Cosgrove and Lady Lynne Cosgrove, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were gifted a stuffed animal kangaroo with a baby joey in its pouch, and a pair of baby Uggs.

“Our first baby gift!” Meghan exclaimed, as she accepted the presents.

Later that day, Meghan and Harry visited Sydney’s Taronga Zoo, where they met a koala named Ruby.

The Royals spoke with conservation scientists and discussed reducing wildlife trafficking.

During their time in Oz, the pair will spend time at the 2018 Invictus Games, a foundation that Prince Harry founded in 2014.
