Meghan Markle’s official royal aide has been announced.
Kensington Palace have revealed that they’ve appointed former press officer Amy Pickerill as Meghan’s official royal aide.
Amy will now be an assistant private secretary in Prince Harry’s office, working on Meghan’s official diary and handling any correspondences that she receives.
Speaking from Kensington Palace, a spokesman said that Amy “will be working on Meghan Markle’s programme.”
Amy recently accompanied Meghan to Edinburgh, where Amy was on hand to collect gifts that were given to Prince Harrys bride-to-be. She will also be a point of contact for organisers or officials.
The new royal aide was a senior communications officer working for the households of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry before joining Harry’s office.
Amy, who went to Nottingham University, is a history graduate and has previously worked for the Royal Bank of Scotland in a number of roles in the press office department.
