Maya Jama has broken her silence on her “romance” with footballer Ruben Dias as she hit back at trolls.
According to The Sun, the pair struck up a romance after meeting at the European Music Awards in November.
Maya, 30, and Ruben, 27, were then spotted spending New Year’s Eve together in Ibiza earlier this week.
In response to a troll’s comment, Maya has now addressed the rumours on X for the first time.
One user wrote a tweet about people who “sit on the net all day and obsess about people they don’t know and their relationships.”
In response to the news of her romance with Ruben, the user wrote: “She don’t rest” and “women who jump from relationship to relationship are scary.”

Maya later cited their tweet, which included screenshots of previous remarks from the same user.
She simply wrote back: “Oh.. 😂 😂 but ..🤷♀️”
The comment comes after Ruben appeared to “hard launch” their relationship.

The 11-picture collection featured a photograph of two individuals, who appear to be a man and a woman, looking at a sunset with their backs to the camera and their faces hidden.
In the comments of his post, some fans sent pictures and gifs of Maya, while another fan said, “Maya Jama hard launch.”
Another wrote: “I ship Ruben and Maya so bad.”

A source told The Sun of their relationship: “Maya and Ruben swapped details at the EMAs and have chatted since, but things went up a gear in early December.”
“When Ruben got injured and had to miss the congested new year fixtures, he jumped at the chance to see in 2025 with Maya in Spain.
“Spending New Year’s Eve together was a real step forward in their relationship. They get on really well and obviously make a gorgeous couple, but it’s early days.”
