Max George has revealed he’s desperate for The Wanted to reunite, seven years after they parted ways.
The 32-year-old and his bandmates Siva Kaneswaran, Jay McGuiness, Tom Parker and Nathan Sykes went on hiatus back in 2014, after completing their ‘Word of Mouth’ tour.
During a new interview with The Sun, Max said: “I have never hidden behind the fact that I personally would love to do it.”
“I love the boys, the band, the buzz, the fans, the music . . . I love it all. I would love to do it again.”
Max also confessed Tom, who is battling cancer, would love to reunite the band too.
“I’ve spoken to Tom a lot and he was like, ‘Yeah, cool. If it happens, it happens’. Despite everything he is going through, I know Tom would do it tomorrow,” he said.
“The boys are all over the place doing their own thing. They are all really successful. But would I do it? A million per cent I would.”
“The music hasn’t aged and, for me, Glad You Came will be a summer banger forever.”
After The Wanted disbanded in 2014, Max and Nathan both launched solo careers, and were both signed by Justin Bieber’s manager Scooter Braun.
Max also tried to dip his toe into acting, and appeared in the sixth season of Glee back in 2015.
One year after The Wanted split, Jay won Strictly Come Dancing with his professional partner Aliona Vilani, and he’s since made a name for himself on the West End.
