Matthew Morrison has praised Cheryl for helping him with his sick son, after moving to the UK.

The American actor has struck up a close friendship with the singer, and revealed that Cheryl came to the rescue when his one-year-old son Revel fell ill before they started filming The Greatest Dancer.

Matthew told the Mirror, “Cheryl’s been really instrumental in giving me advice. The first week I was here my son got really sick and she was really helping me out with who to go see and doctors and stuff like that.”

“It’s great having a fellow parent who has a very similar-aged child going through that kind of stuff, especially in a foreign country,” he said.

Cheryl is mum to her two-year-old son Bear, who she welcomed with her ex Liam Payne in March, 2016.

The 40-year-old also praised Cheryl for the way “she handles everything”, as she’s faced intense media scrutiny since making her musical comeback last year.

The pair both star as Dance Captains on The Greatest Dancer, and the show’s grand final is set to air tonight on BBC One.
