The two became well-known for their roles as co-writers and actors in the sketch comedy series Come Fly with Me and Little Britain.
Previously, the actor and comedian Lucas stated he was “really excited” about the project during his appearance on BBC Breakfast, although he did not provide any information.
“The good news is, we’re doing something that we’re really excited about and it’s going to start, I believe, next month. So that’s all I can tell you,” he said.
Lucas revealed that instead of portraying characters as they did in the past, he and David would be playing themselves.

When asked if there would be any comedy, he responded, “I hope so,” and disclosed that they had “already recorded some of it.”
After being questioned further, he acknowledged that the initiative had nothing to do with a book, song, or theatrical production.
Additionally, he stated that it will not air on television, but in response to a question about whether it would be available on a streaming service, he said: “It might be? Who knows?”

After the comic duo “quit” their long-standing TV commitments, Lucas disclosed last year that he and David had been “brainstorming” a new series.
“So David Walliams and I have resumed writing together, and we just thought, ‘It’s time, it’s time,’” he said on BBC Radio 2’s The Zoe Ball Breakfast Show at the time.
“So we’ve sort of quit our jobs and decided to do that.”
