Lucy Mecklenburgh has hit back at claims that she got “cosy” with a mystery man in Dubai.
In a video obtained by the MailOnline, the former TOWIE star can be seen hugging a man at a nightclub, before planting a kiss on his cheek.
The reality star was on holiday in Dubai with her friends at the time, and not with boyfriend Ryan Thomas.
After the video started hitting headlines, Lucy slammed the reports by tweeting, “Since when has saying goodbye to a friend turned into a cosy night out?! #ridiculous.”

Meanwhile, sources allegedly told the outlet that Lucy was “rubbing the inside” of the mystery man’s leg, before they reportedly left “two minutes apart”.
Onlookers claimed: “At The Penthouse, Five Palm, Dubai, Lucy Mecklenburgh walked in with a guy, who was not Ryan…”
“Lucy seemed ‘overly’ friendly with this guy. She was touching the inside of his legs, kissing his neck, holding his hand for at least an hour. Lucy then left on her own followed two mins later by the guy. They looked very cosy indeed!…”
“Ryan is such a lovely guy and doesn’t deserve to be treated like this especially as only two days ago they are all over OK! Magazine and she is saying she wants a ring next year from him.”
The outlet also quoted a source close to Ryan, who claimed that he was “in pieces” over the video – but has chosen to stand by Lucy, and believes her explanation.
The source alleged: “He is in pieces over the video – really upset. He’s a pretty forgiving guy and knows how tactile Lucy can be but this footage seems a little more than someone saying goodbye.”
“He’s been asking his friends and brothers what they would think and how they would react if it was their wife or partner in the video and pretty much universally, they’ve all said they wouldn’t be happy.”

“But at the moment he’s taking Lucy’s word at face value because he loves her and he wants to believe she’s telling the truth. He’s also had tons of support on social media from fans – though a fair few haven’t had such kind words for Lucy,” they added.
The couple have been dating since last year, after they met while filming Celebrity Island With Bear Grylls.
