Love Island’s Dr Alex George announces death of his younger brother in heartbreaking post

Love Island’s Dr Alex George has revealed his younger brother has died in a heartbreaking post on Instagram.

The 30-year-old shared a photo of him and Llyr on the social media platform, and confirmed his brother died following a mental health battle.

He wrote: “I can’t believe I am actually writing this post. I have lost my beautiful little brother to mental health.”

“I love you so much LlÅ·r. The kindest and most caring soul. I was so proud of you starting medical school next month, you would have been the most incredible doctor.”

“We are hurting so bad. No words can explain,” he continued. “As a family we are devastated. We love you and miss you so much. Please rest in peace x Our boy.”

A host of Love Island stars have shared their support for Alex, including Rosie Williams who commented: “Oh no Alex! This is so awful. I’m so so sorry from the bottom of my heart. Sending you all the love in the world. Thinking of you and your family through this terrible time.”

Wes Nelson also wrote: “So sorry to hear this Alex! Stay strong I love you mate!”

Alexandra Cane, who had a brief romance with Alex on Love Island, commented: “I’m so sorry Alex. My deepest condolences are with you and your family.”
