Love Island’s Brad McClelland thinks Lucinda Strafford is ‘playing a game’

Dumped Love Island contestant Brad McClelland has claimed that Lucinda Strafford is “playing a game” on the show.

The 25-year-old was brutally dumped from the Island last week, after him and Lucinda were voted the least compatible couple by the public.

Since Brad’s departure, Lucinda has grown close to Aaron Francis, and also got to know new boy Danny Bibby.

Speaking to Digital Spy, Brad said: “Seeing her with Aaron doesn’t bother us because she wasn’t interested in him when I was in there.”

“See I’m not in there anymore so she cannot couple up with me and if she wants to stay in there she has to couple up with someone.”

“So it’s part of the game and if she’s playing it she’s playing it.”

In the same interview, Brad admitted he’d like to try rekindle his romance with Lucinda when she gets out of the villa.

The 26-year-old said: “I’d like to see how things would go anyway, give her the chance.”

“The week that we had was very good and I’m not someone that likes to have unfinished business, so it would be good to see her again.”

“If it was something she wanted then we can talk about it and see where things go.”

Earlier this week, the Northumberland native revealed that he has found love is a different way thanks to Love Island.

Speaking on ITV’s Lorraine, he explained that his long lost younger sister saw him on the show and reached out.

Brad said: “I grew up just with my nana, my dad wasn’t on the scene, but I always knew that I had a younger sister.”

“Basically, she reached out to us, and I FaceTimed her for the first time – the first time I’d ever seen her face and heard her voice was literally just a couple of days ago. My plan is now to obviously have a relationship with her and go from there,” he added.

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on Virgin Media One and Virgin Media Player.
