Love Island star Amy Day has revealed she is dating Shipwrecked’s Patrick Deaco.
The 26-year-old matched with Patrick on a dating app last year, and they casually dated before she headed into the Casa Amor villa.
After her awkward split from Hugo Hammond, Amy reconnected with Patrick in August, and the couple have since moved in together.
Speaking to OK! Magazine about her new relationship, Amy said:Â “I’m so happy, he’s literally the dream. He’s Thor’s double! He’s a mix of Thor and Jason Momoa, who’s Aquaman.”
“We met at the beginning of [2021] on a dating app. And I’d just started the rounds for Love Island so I wasn’t looking for anything serious, he wasn’t looking for anything serious and so we just dated as a bit of fun.”
“And then it really was fun and I think it was a month and a half before I went into the villa, we just cooled things off. I told him I was going on a dating show, I didn’t say which one. And he went: ‘Yeah amazing’, he was so supportive so we just called it off and thought nothing of it.”
“And I went on the show, came out and we just both naturally messaged each other saying, ‘I’m still single, would you want to see me again?’ And it’s made us realise we actually have something special, so yeah it’s all been a bit crazy!”
Amy continued: “I just feel really content, I’ve also just moved in with him. We’re doing the flat up so it’s a manic time to move in but you’ve got to have your challenges in the relationship so this is a good one.”
“I feel really content which is so nice, I found a man which is what I kept stressing, I needed a man and I found a man.”
“It’s been a really quick turnover to move in but it was just convenient for both of us, that’s what we say. We know it’s been quite quick but for us it felt fine.”
“We both do want kids definitely not in the near future… I’m 26 now and he’s 32 so it is kind of time to start thinking about that. So we’ve discussed it for sure,” she added.
