Love Island’s Amber Davies says being single has helped her career

Amber Davies has said that being single has benefited her career.

The 22-year-old won Love Island in 2017 with Kem Cetinay, but the couple split just five months after leaving the villa.

The reality star is currently starring in Dolly Parton’s 9 to 5: The Musical and admitted that being single helped her transition into acting.

She told The Sun Online: “It’s definitely been easier. If Kem and I were still together we’d still be the ‘Love Island couple that are still together’.”

Love Island, Love Island, Love Island. Where I think being single and being able to focus on my career has been a massive blessing.”

The singer added that the musical has taken over her life and said: “I’m very single. You can’t date at all, your social life goes completely down the drain because when you’re doing eight shows a week you have to give your soul to the show.”

“Look after your voice after the show, resting before the show.”

“But I’m so happy with that, I’m happy to be doing what I love if it means I have to forget about guys for a couple of months.”
