Love Island winners Ekin-Su and Davide confirm they’re taking a HUGE step in their relationship

Ekin-Su Cülcüloglu and Davide Sanclimenti have confirmed they’re taking a huge step in their relationship.

The Turkish actress and the Italian businessman, both 27, won the 2022 series of Love Island last week.

Speaking on Loose Women on Monday, the couple confessed they’ve become “a lot closer” since leaving the villa, despite their hectic schedules.

Ekin said they had barely been apart since the final, and revealed they plan to move in together around September or October.

The couple went through plenty of up and downs in the Love Island villa, as Ekin had a brief fling with bombshell Jay Younger, and Davide kissed Casa Amor girl Mollie Salmon.

Speaking about how their relationship was tested, Ekin said: “In relationships, you’ve got to make mistakes, to know it’s right you have to have these tests.”

“And in real life, whether you have a normal job, day to day walking on the street, you have to trust your partner.”

“And there’s going to be people who are going to try it on you and I feel like Casa Amor was that big test. And the fact that whether Davide came back alone or not that was a test for him.”

“My test was with Jay, that was kind of my Casa Amor experience and there was, like, obviously people at Casa Amor but literally my heart and my head was at the villa.”

Davide agreed with Ekin’s point, and said he’s glad he explored another connection as it made him realise what they had was “unique”.

The 27-year-old explained: “I always said for myself, ‘If I want to choose Ekin-Su, I want to choose her on top of everyone else not just because she’s the only girl that I fancied inside the villa’.

“So actually, what I did with Molly in Casa Amor is actually been a confirmation that I actually felt something for her. I realised that what we had was unique.”

According to voting figures released by ITV, Ekin-Su and Davide won this year’s Love Island after they secured a massive 63.69% of the public vote.

Runners-up Gemma Owen and Luca Bish scored just 14.47% of the final vote, while Indiyah Pollack and Dami Hope, who came third, received 11.77% of the vote.

Tasha Ghouri and Andrew Le Page, who finished in fourth place, received 10.07%. of the vote.
