Love Island star confirms pregnancy

The brunette starred on the show last year

Tyla Carr has confirmed that she’s expecting her first child with boyfriend Ross.

The Love Island 2017 star, who has been dating Ross for eight months, learned she was pregnant just one month after moving in with him.

Speaking to OK! magazine, Tyla admitted that she found out she was pregnant after taking a pregnancy test “in the toilet at Nando’s”.

She said, “We stopped for lunch after I bought the test and I couldn’t wait until I got home. When I saw it was positive, I ran back to tell Ross – it felt like the longest journey of my life!”

“I was over the moon but part of me was worried too. We haven’t been together very long and we’d only just moved in together. I started to panic that we had rushed.”

Tyla and Ross met nine years ago through friends, but didn’t start dating him until last year.

“He’s really happy for me to do my own thing, but he’s very private and has no interest in being in the spotlight,” she said.

“It’s really refreshing to be with someone who has no interest in the industry. He has a great job running a logistics company and is a property developer too.”

The reality star also attempted to clarify the recent comments she made about Love Island being ‘staged’.

She said, “What you see on TV isn’t fake, but they have to make it as succinct as possible for the viewers so they do ask you to have certain conversations.”

”For example, if you’ve had three conversations with three different people, they might ask you to put it all into a conversation with one person so it’s easier for them to film,” she added.
