Comedian Iain Stirling, the voice of Love Island who keeps us in stitches all summer, revealed that this season is going to be unmissable.
Speaking on The Sunday Brunch this morning, told hosts Tim Lovejoy and Simon Rimmer that the 2019 series is going to pop off.
“The series is going to be one of the best yet,” said Iain, who is in a relationship with Laura Whitmore.
Julia Stiles chimed in, and said that her British co-stars on Riviera were “obsessed” with the series last summer, during the filming of her show.
“I spend half the year working in France with a bunch of British cast members and they were obsessed with Love Island,” she said.
“So I feel like I kind of know what’s going on just by their recap of it in the hair and make-up trailer, but they love it. They were hooked.”
During Iain’s interview on The Sunday Brunch, he revealed that Love Island could have been very different,
He confessed to turning down the voice presenting role numerous times.
“I said no loads of times. I’m not a reality TV guy, really – I never really got into it.”
“It films June/July, which is so silly when you’re a new comedian, it’s just before the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.”
However, he admitted that his friend and flatmate convinced him to pick up the role.
In a surprising revelation, Iain said that he will not be tuning in this year. “I’m not gonna watch it. It’s so addictive!”
