Liam Payne reveals heartbreak that he can’t see son Bear during lockdown

Liam Payne is heartbroken he can’t see his son Bear during the Covid-19 lockdown.

The former One Direction star has been forced to go weeks without seeing his son, as he is in lockdown miles from the the three-year-old – who lives with Liam’s ex Cheryl.

Speaking to The Sun, Liam explained: “Me and Cheryl had a very open conversation about visiting, but it’s difficult.”

“It was right around his birthday that it (lockdown) happened. It was one of the first times I was in the ­country for his birthday and I was ready to go over and I just thought, ‘I don’t know how I feel about it.'”

Liam has been attempting to keep in touch with his son over video chat, but he admitted it isn’t always easy.

“So it’s just been difficult having to put up with a lot of FaceTime, and sometimes he wants to talk on FaceTime, sometimes he doesn’t,” he confessed.

“I have a new-found respect for people who have these jobs that mean they have to miss their kids a lot.”

The 26-year-old added that he regrets ever wishing for a break from his hectic schedule.

He said: “When I’ve been touring I have a crazy schedule where you start missing home and being in one place.”

“For quite some time I’ve been like, ‘It would be nice to have a bit of a break’, and boy, do I regret saying that.”
