Liam Payne reportedly dated Love Island‘s Amber Davies following his split from Cheryl.
The father-of-one split from the singer during the summer and has recently been spotted on a date with Naomi Campbell.
According to The Sun, Amber met the 25-year-old several years ago and the pair reportedly still exchange texts.
“Amber’s very much Liam’s type and doesn’t look a world away from one of his former girlfriends,” a source said.
“She was very excited to meet him some years ago at the Radio 1 Teen Awards. She told her Twitter followers she fan-girled over him.”
The source also claimed that the pair “went home together” after a night out in London and added: “There was a real physical attraction between them.”
“They were determined nobody should find out, due to his break-up with Cheryl and this new thing with Naomi. But he and Amber still keep in touch and text every now and then,” they added.
The pair first met in October of 2017, as Amber shared a snap of her and Liam together and wrote: “Major fan girl moment right now.”
Liam texted the Love Island star’s ex, Kem Cetinay, after his split from Amber later that year, as Kem said at the time: “He was one of the first people to text me. It was out of the blue.”
“He was checking I was OK and gave me good advice. I couldn’t believe he was going out of his way to talk to me.”
