Camila Cabello has revealed that she stole a pencil during a visit to Kensington Palace earlier this year.

The Havana singer appeared on BBC Radio 1 with Greg James this morning, and recalled the time he dared her to steal something from the royals to commemorate her visit.

Camila and Greg visited the royal residence to celebrate BBC Radio 1’s Teen Heroes, and met the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge while they were there.

Greg said: “OK I haven’t mentioned this story because you told me not to…”

“We were in Kensington Palace for the Teen Heroes. We were about to meet William and Kate, and I said, ‘Gotta steal something… steal that pencil.'”

Camila said: “And I was like ‘You triple doggy dare me?'”

After the singer took the pencil, Greg jokingly outed her to palace staff, but Camila refused to put it back.

She explained: “I put it in my mom’s purse, and my mom was like, ‘No we have to give it back, we have to give the pencil back.’ I was like, ‘No he triple doggy dared me, I have to take the pencil,’ so I still have it.”

“So I’m sorry William, and I’m sorry Kate,” Camila said, asking her royal hosts for forgiveness.

Hilariously, someone from the Kensington Palace digital team spotted Camila’s interview on Twitter, and replied to it by tweeting a side-eye emoji.
