Royal family to reply to nearly 40,000 letters and drawings following the royal wedding

Kensington Palace has revealed that it has been inundated with artwork and letters in the wake of the royal wedding, Princess Charlotte’s birthday and the birth of Prince Louis.

The palace has received no less than 36,000 pieces of post wishing the royal family well in the last month alone. Kensington Palace shared a photo on Twitter of some of the artwork sent to the royal family including a sweet painting of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

Millions of people around the world watched Meghan  Markle wed Prince Harry on the 19th of May. Nielson, a ratings company estimated that 29million people in the US alone watched the nuptials. Not content with just watching the celebrations, 36,000 fans of the royals also sent them cards and artwork to congratulate them on their recent life milestones.

Princess Charlotte’s third birthday and the arrival of her little brother, Prince Louis also contributed to the huge influx of letters.

The royal family reply to every piece of mail they receive so they’ve their work cut out for them to get through all of this.

Prince William and Kate sent thank you cards that showed the couple on their tour of Bhutan to everyone who wrote to them congratulating them on their seventh wedding anniversary.
