Kelsey Parker has revealed she’s been targeted by trolls after announcing her pregnancy last month.
The mum-of-two revealed she is expecting a child with her boyfriend Will – three years after the death of her husband, Tom Parker.
The Wanted singer, with whom she shared two children, sadly died in March 2022 at the age of 33, after being diagnosed with a terminal brain tumour in 2020.
Speaking to The Sun about the reaction to her pregnancy: “It’s crazy. I knew I would be judged.”
“But people who haven’t lost their partner, I don’t know how you can pass comment on me? I have been in such a dark place from losing Tom.”
“I was so lonely and so unhappy. I feel like there are people who want me to always feel like that. I feel like I do deserve to try and find a bit of happiness.”
“I think people think I should be sitting at home and dressed in black all day.”
She continued: “I have two children (and another one on the way) that I have to get out of bed for.”
“People are shocked I go to Tesco but I need to feed my kids.”
Last week, Kelsey revealed she will pay tribute to Tom with a sweet baby name.
Kelsey and Will have revealed they are expecting their first child together in an exclusive interview with OK! Magazine.
In the interview with the publication, the 33-year-old has confessed her daughter Aurelia is keen on keeping her dad’s memory alive.
The soon-to-be mum-of-three admitted: “I feel like Aurelia’s been in this world before.”
“And when I was eight weeks pregnant, she came up and started talking to a baby in my tummy.”
“Will and I just looked at each other in total disbelief! She has also said she’d like the baby to be called ‘Parker’ if it’s a boy.”
Elsewhere in the interview, the 33-year-old admitted she believes Tom has given them his “blessing.”
“Tom and I always said we wanted four – but life had other plans.”
