Katie Price thanks fiancé Carl Woods for ‘standing by her’ after her arrest

Katie Price has thanked her fiancé Carl Woods for supporting her during a “challenging” few months.

The former glamour model confirmed her romance with the ex Love Island star in June last year, and the couple announced their engagement in April.

The mother-of-five, who recently completed a stint in rehab following her drink-driving arrest, took to Instagram on Saturday to praise her future husband for “giving her strength”.

Alongside a photo of Carl, Katie wrote: “This man has stuck by me in my most critical times and never done me wrong ❤️”

“The past 4 months have been challenging for him and I thank him for standing by me and giving me the strength I needed and support through yet again real actual traumas caused by people who I knew …”

“The truth of all the events I encountered you will be very aware of soon . I love you @carljwoods 🤴”

It has been a difficult few months for Katie, who was allegedly assaulted in her home back in August.

The TV personality was taken to hospital with facial injuries after the alleged attack, and a 32-year-old male was arrested on suspicion of assault, theft and coercive and controlling behaviour.

Speaking about the alleged attack, Katie told The Sun: “I’ve got a big bruise, my face is all puffy, and I went to hospital. I’m still all dazed. I’m devastated.”

“I’ve told police that I was assaulted, and am in shock that this happened. I ran away after being punched — I ran to Harvey’s house nearby and have now done damage to my feet, which I previously injured.”

“The fight was unprovoked — I was just sitting there watching telly when the assault happened. I can’t say any more,” she added.

Carl took to Instagram after the incident to speak out on the “shocking abuse” he was receiving online, and insisted he would “never hurt” Katie.

He wrote at the time: “I have remained quiet until now due to the investigation being carried out by the police however I have found it so difficult to keep quiet on social media due to speculation and shocking abuse that I have received.”

“Anybody who thinks I hit Katie you’re completely delusional and have no idea of the reality of the situation. I have never and never would do anything to hurt Katie,” Carl added. “The truth will be told.”

The police investigation is still being carried out and the suspect has been bailed.

In September, Katie was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving, after she got into a car crash in West Sussex.

The 43-year-old pleaded guilty to drink-driving, driving while disqualified and driving without insurance, and checked herself into The Priory for treatment.

Katie, who apologised for her actions, will be sentenced on December 15.

Speaking about Katie’s arrest, Carl said: “Relationships are tested. People test each other – but when you love someone like I love Katie. You enjoy the highs and good times together. And that bond is tested during the low and difficult times together.”

“Katie is a rough diamond. She has her imperfections however they make her perfect to me. She just needs that extra help to be polished. The sunlight will shine through her once again and the sparkles that she brings to everyone will return.”

“I love you Katie 100%. My Dolly, always here, always will be.”
