Katie Price has splurged £1,000 on a new puppy, just one week before her bankruptcy hearing.
The mother-of-five recently declared bankruptcy, but despite her financial difficulties – she has bought herself a new pooch in the lead up to the hearing.
The reality star got a new dog after her beloved German Shepherd ‘Queenie’ was killed by a delivery driver.
An insider told The Sun, “Katie’s last German Shepherd was run over and killed by a takeaway driver and recently it’s been weighing heavy on her mind.”
“She sold off loads of her animals but she thinks a dog would help take her mind off everything going on in her life right now.”
They added: “She’s not got that kind of money to spend but everyone is supporting her as a puppy would keep her busy and stop her going out partying.”
Back in August, Katie’s legal team submitted proposals for an individual voluntary agreement (IVA) on her behalf at the High Court’s Rolls Building.
The 40-year-old’s application will be heard on October 30, and if it’s accepted, Katie’s mansion will be safe from re-possession.
Following an intervention from her family, Katie checked into The Priory, a rehab facility, last month.
However just days after being admitted, the former glamour girl was arrested on suspicion of drink driving.
Over the weekend, Katie was spotted pack at The Priory – with a camera crew in tow.
