Katie Price slammed by animal rights activists after tragic death of puppy

Her daughter's puppy Rolo recently passed away

Katie Price has been slammed by animal rights activists, after her daughter’s puppy Rolo tragically died this week.

Rolo was gifted to Princess as a 13th birthday present last month, before tragically passing away this week – after it allegedly got stuck in an electric armchair.

This is the third time one of Katie’s pets has died in tragic circumstances, and animal rights group PETA have told the former glamour model that she should stop purchasing animals.

“Katie must not be allowed to acquire any more animals,” director of PETA Elisa Allen told The Mirror.

“At least three dogs and one horse have died on her watch in the last few years alone,” she added, “[Katie’s] attitude is costing wonderful animals their lives.”

The news comes after Katie recently hit back at trolls who blamed the dog’s breeder JRC Bullies for the death of Rolo.

“Everyone the tragic death of my daughters puppy Rolo is absolutely nothing to do with the breeders and anybody blaming them should be ashamed of themselves,” she wrote on Instagram.

“The breeders are absolutely amazing look after the all the dogs and puppy’s at their home.”

“It’s amazing clean and professional from day one and a absolutely lovely family so stop trolling them as you are the kind of protons who need to be on the register for trolling when Harveys law is in place!” she added, referring to the law she is trying to pass in her son’s name to stop online trolling.

“It’s nobody’s fault and something that happened tragically we are all devastated about so instead of pointing fingers think of how we are all feeling so respect us all.”

JRC Bullies also responded to the “vile” messages they received over Rolo’s death, after trolls questioned why the Price family were given a dog in the first place.

“The outcome of our decision has understandably upset a lot of animal lovers, and I apologise from the bottom of my heart that you have had to read of this tragedy, but we can 100 % assure you all we did everything we could for Rolo moving in with his new family,” they shared.

“First of all for everybody who’s sending their hate messages and telling us what we should have done or could have done it is really not needed, for the people commenting on our page for something that we couldn’t control also is not needed we did absolutely everything we possibly could of done to make sure Rolo was getting the perfect 5 star home.”

“We visited the property, we saw exactly where he would be living, we settled him in before leaving and then we kept in contact with @officialprincess_andre to check on him, we were there 24 hours a day for her with advice and support if it was needed.”

“People saying we should of done background checks well we did, and you can’t believe everything you read in the papers. Rolo’s death was a tragic accident that had nothing at all to do with his health or @jrcbullies.”

They added: “Rest in Peace our special and unique little man you will be truly missed ????????????✨”

Rolo’s death occurred just five months after another family dog, an Alsatian named Sparkle, was killed running into a busy road.

Another dog, Queenie, died in tragic circumstances in 2018 – after she was struck by a delivery driver.
