Kate Middleton has caused some controversy, after choosing to wear green at the BAFTAs.
Most stars, including Angelina Jolie, Margot Robbie, Salma Hayek and Saoirse Ronan, all chose to wear black to support the Time’s Up movement.
A royal would normally not comment on political matters, and it seems Kate wanted to avoid showing her opinion on the matter by wearing a moss green number, by Jenny Packham.
People took to Twitter to share their disappoint that the Duchess did not openly support the movement.
Disappointed in #KateMiddleton #DuchessofCambridge not wearing black to the #EEBAFTAs It’s not a political thing. Its a woman thing! #TimesUp #StandTogether

I know the Royals aren’t supposed to get involved with “protests” or anything… but would it really have been THAT bad for Kate Middleton to wear black??? #BAFTAs2018

I will never be a fan of the royal family or anything they stand for or symbolise but I’m truly disappointed that Kate Middleton failed to use her platform to make waves

However many feel that Kate’s black belt, was a nod to the movement, supporting gender equality, after dozens of sexual assault allegations against men in the film industry.
