Jonathan Bailey has revealed he is “reading books on adoption” and would consider “co-parenting with a woman.”
Following his portrayal of Fiyero in the Wicked screenplay adaption, the 36-year-old Bridgerton actor is storming the world.
In a recent interview with Vogue, the Bridgerton star opened up about intimate plans for his personal life.
He said: “Yes, it’s such a privilege for a man, but I can’t bring children into my lifestyle now. I want to make sure I’m going to be present; I’m reading books on adoption.”
The actor confessed: “I might co-parent with a woman, but I’m thinking it will be with a man.”
In another part of the interview, Jonathan confessed that after holding hands in public with his ex-boyfriend, he was heckled in the street.

He recalled: “I’ve always been a confident hand-holder in relationships. I had a boyfriend who wasn’t experienced at holding hands in public.”
“We got heckled in London. But that kind of behaviour is now outweighed by the smiles you get,” Jonathan stated.
Additionally, Jonathan talked candidly about how he came to understand his sexuality.

Jonathan said: “I think other people understood my sexuality before I was even aware of it.”
Remembering a sleepover with primary school friends as a child, he said: “I remember excitedly asking them, ‘Guys, guys, who else thinks they’re gay? Do you? I do. I do.'”
“It was a conversation I really, really wanted to have, to see if everyone else was on the same page. But everyone went quiet.”
Later, in front of the entire class, his teacher at school called him out, and went on to say: “Well, if you weren’t so busy being a fairy, you’d understand.”

Although Jonathan avoids publicising his personal life, the singer sparked romantic speculation with James Ellis in 2019.
However, the two never disclosed that they were formally dating or acknowledged their relationship.
