Jesy Nelson has opened up about break-ups since her split from Jake Roche.
News that the Little Mix star split from the Rixon front man came out in late 2016 when she was pictured without her engagement ring.
“When you break-up with someone, it’s awful. Is it not one of the worst pains? It’s horrendous and we all need a sad song that you sit and cry to,” she said.

When the band released their song Shout Out To My Ex, fans all over the world were delighted and many assumed the song was about Perrie Edward’s break-up with Zayn Malik – but now it’s become an anthem for empowering women worldwide.
“At the end of the day, though, you need something that makes you feel empowered,” she said on U.S. radio show Z100
“That makes you think, ‘You know what I don’t need you anymore. I’m going to go out with my girls and I’m going to get over you because I don’t need you.’
“And that’s exactly what Shout Out To My Ex does.”
