Jeremy Clarkson has admitted he feared he would ‘die alone’, as he battled Covid-19 over Christmas.

The 60-year-old has opened up about his experience with the virus in a column for the Sunday Times newspaper.

Jeremy explained that he tested positive for Covid-19 after he fell ill four days before Christmas.

“Where, because I am 60 and fat, and because I’ve smoked half a million cigarettes and had double pneumonia, I’d probably die, on my own, in a lonely plastic tent.”

Following public health advice, Jeremy went into isolation, and said he took himself to bed “with the new Don Winslow book and a bag of kale” and waited “for the Grim Reaper to pop his head round the door.”

The TV presenter confessed: “I’m not going to lie — it was quite scary!”

Jeremy added: “I don’t even know if I’m better now. Seriously, I have absolutely no idea.”
