Jacqueline Jossa has penned an emotional tribute to her daughter Ella, as she returns to school for the first time since lockdown.
The actress shared photographs on Instagram alongside her eldest child, as she and her husband Dan Osborne brought Ella back to school this morning for the first time in months.
“Year 1 we are ready for you!” she captioned the post.
“I am so proud of her. Golly gosh! It’s so hard to let her go, we have had such a lovely time all together as a family, we needed this time all together and it’s been amazing.”
“Ella has been so brilliant during the whole of lockdown and really grown, she’s so much braver, stronger and confident. She was ready for today.
“Mia had a little cry because she doesn’t ever have to say goodbye to her sister, usually where Ella goes, Mia goes. That breaks my heart a little.
“Mummy and daddy had a little tear in their eye???? so proud!!!!! We love you Ella, It’s different in the house now and I can’t wait to pick you up????”
The coronavirus pandemic forced schools to shut down back in March as a preventative measure to stop the spread of the virus.
At the end of last month, Amy Huberman and Brian O’Driscoll also brought their children back to school – with Amy admitting she had “bags of giddy emotion” ahead of the big day.
“I’ve enjoyed the time at home with the kids. I don’t think I was the best home-school teacher so I am looking forward to them returning,” she admitted.
“My respect for teachers has just expanded so much because of the patience that they have – I didn’t have quite as much patience as I thought I would.”
