Jack Fincham has slammed his ex-girlfriend Dani Dyer’s dad Danny Dyer after he made critical remarks against him claiming that he “wasn’t what he was on the telly.”
On the fourth season of Love Island UK in 2018, Dani and Jack fell in love and left the villa victorious together.
However, the couple broke up after 9 months together, and Jack revealed to The Sun that “drugs helped my relationship with Dani fail.”

Speaking recently on the Table Manners podcast, Danny opened up about how he really felt about his daughter going on Love Island.
“I didn’t really meet him. To be honest with you, it turned out he wasn’t what he was on the telly,” said the actor in relation to Jack.
He continued: “If you think about you in a villa, it’s a structured show. There’s no phones, there’s no distractions. How real can you be? It’s only when you get out. And so look, they made a go of it. It didn’t work out.”
The 47-year-old also confessed he was “fuming” after the producers of the show created a cruel twist that left Dani convinced Jack had cheated on her in Casa Amor.
He was angered by these scenes, and said: “They did a really mean thing on it as well, where they sort of made it look like he was cheating on her. I was fuming. I was like I want numbers, I want f*****g numbers.”
“They pretended he was sleeping outside on a bed, and she was crying her eyes out, and I knew this was gonna happen to me. How could you do it to this poor child?”
“So, yeah, really hard to watch, but she came out. She really just went with it. She got a clothing range. She’s such a beautiful kid. I’m so proud. I’m proud of all my babies,” he finished.

Speaking with The Sun, the reality TV star reacted to Danny’s statements, and said: “I am just trying to move on with my life, I’m not sure why Danny a few times now has gave me a backhanded dig or insult.”
He shared that he actually “looked up” to Danny and “he has had his own struggles a lot worse than mine.”
However, the 33-year-old confirmed that he was “different on telly” as that was the “real” him – “No drugs, no distractions just me living life.”
“I let drugs and distractions and bad decisions change me back to who I didn’t want to be. But thank God I’m no longer the bad version of myself.”

A friend of Jack’s also described Danny’s comments as disappointing, especially given the actor’s involvement in men’s mental health advocacy.
They also noted that he is currently promoting his latest film, Marching Powder (in which he plays a drug addict trying to get his life together named Jack), and the timing of his remarks are extremely questionable.
“Danny has not been whiter than white in his past so why he feels he can be so judgmental is wild,” Jack’s friend told the outlet.
