Filming for I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! has been delayed, as Ant McPartlin continues to recover after his stint in rehab earlier this year.
According to The Sun, bosses hired a huge set for Ant and his co-host Declan Donnelly to shoot a big-budget promo for the show this Friday.
However, they decided to postpone the shoot at London’s Pinewood Studios, as Ant continues to rest in Los Angeles.
“It would have been the first day filming but with Ant away, there is no way they could get started,” a source said.
Ant, who became addicted to painkillers after a painful knee operation, jetted to Los Angeles with his agent Paul Worsley last week.
“He’s gone to get away from the spotlight. He’s in recovery and it’s important he has time and space. Paul’s gone to provide support. He is one of his closest friends.”
A TV insider added, “Ant needed some space away. Everyone completely understands.”
The new series of I’m A Celebrity is due to start next month.
