Idris Elba is reportedly set to join the Cats film adaption.
Tom Hooper’s on-screen version of the famous musical already has a star-studded cast including Taylor Swift, Jennifer Hudson and James Corden.
Idris has now been linked to the musical, as Variety reported that the actor is in final negotiations to join the highly-anticipated production.
The 46-year-old has previously taken on the role of a feline character, as he played in the infamous Shere Khan in the live-action version of The Jungle Book in 2016.
Cats is set to hit the silver screen in December 2019.
