Here’s when Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield will return to TV

Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield will be returning to our screens next week after their summer break.

The daytime TV duo were replaced by Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford while they took an extended break, but are set to return to This Morning on September 1st – the show announced today.

A spokesperson for the popular morning show said that the new series will focus on celebrating the best that Britain has to offer –  with brand new travel, beauty, cooking and animal segments.

Actor Nigel Havers will take viewers on a tour of Britain in a new four-part segment Best of British – visiting different locations across the country and trying different culinary delights.

Nigel said: “It’s a genuine pleasure to be able to take the time out to tour Britain for This Morning viewers this September. I’ve packed some hand sanitiser, a picnic blanket and an umbrella just in case!”

Chef John Torode will also be taking viewers on an adventure in his new segment Torode’s Skeleton Coast, visiting different locations such as a cider farm from Dorset along the Jurassic Coast.

“Dorset is one of my favourite parts of the country and I feel very lucky to have been able to get out and explore the mighty Jurassic Coast during this time,” he said.

“I cannot wait to share some gorgeous recipes from the area. Not to mention that viewers will get the chance to judge my kayaking skills… So watch Torode back out on the road.”

The new series comes amid reports that Holly is set to quit the show, after 11 years presenting.

The Sun is claiming that Holly is pursuing “other opportunities on prime time TV” after she set up her own management company Roxy Management.

The publication adds that she wants to focus more on her career, now that her three children Harry, 11, Belle, nine, and Chester, five, are growing up.

“Holly is unique in that women like her and want to be her friend and men are attracted to her as she’s so beautiful. She has universal appeal,” a source told the publication.

“While she loves This Morning, her four-day-a-week live TV stint is a huge drain on her time and requires a lot of energy, plus she’s been doing it for 11 years now.”

However, a spokesperson quickly denied the claims telling the publication: “Holly loves This Morning and working with Phil. She has no plans to leave.”
