Geordie Shore star Marnie Simpson expecting second child with fiancé Casey Johnson

Marnie Simpson has announced she’s expecting her second child with her fiancé Casey Johnson.

The couple met on MTV dating show Single AF in 2017, and welcomed their son Rox in October 2019.

Sharing her pregnancy news with OK! Magazine, Marnie said: “We’re so excited and super happy. It was a bit of a shock but we’re just so thrilled!”

“I do think it’s different this time because we know what’s coming! The first time you genuinely think it’s going to be so easy and you’re not going to need any help. Now we know we’ve got the sleepless nights and a toddler to look after as well.”

“I think it’s going to be really hard but we’re going to try to enjoy it even when there are hard moments because, when the babies are over five, we’ll miss them being so small. We want to cherish it.”

The Geordie Shore star admitted: “I would love a little girl. I think it would be super cute to dress her in pink tutus, but then there are plus points to having a boy as well as I think it will be really good for Rox. As long as they’re healthy, I’m happy either way.”

“Everyone thinks I’m having another boy. Everyone just looks at me and says, ‘Boy’. A psychic messaged me on Instagram months ago and said you’re going to be pregnant soon and you’re going to have a boy.”

Marnie, who is due in May, also said she thinks baby number two will be her last baby.

The 29-year-old explained: “I’ve always wanted two, I just think it’s a nice number. I don’t want to have too many as I want to be able to give them everything I possibly can.”

“I think it’s nice for Rox to have a sibling. I’ve told Casey how lonely it was being an only child. I hated it. He’s one of three and he’s told me all the memories he had growing up, and I want that for Rox.”

“Also I turn 30 in January and I think that’s a good age to be done having children.”

Marnie and Casey had to postpone their wedding plans due to the coronavirus pandemic, due hope to tie the knot next year.

Marnie said: “Maybe the summer. To be honest it’s a good job we did push it back because our new house has cost us a fortune! I actually do think we’re going to do it on a much smaller scale now.”

“Before, we were going to do it quite big, but now we just want to be married. We’re not bothered about having the big party – I’m looking to spend the least money possible. I just want to be a Johnson and have the same name as everyone else.”

“I’m not someone who would mind getting married while pregnant or soon after. I don’t mind if they conflict. I think it’s cute having a bump with your wedding dress.”
