Gemma Collins hits back at brands who refused to dress her because she was ‘too fat’

Gemma Collins has hit back at clothing brands who refused to dress her because she was “too fat”.

The reality star appeared on last night’s 10th anniversary special of The Only Way Is Essex, where she was crowned the “most iconic” cast member.

Sharing a video thanking her fans on Instagram, the 39-year-old spoke candidly about being body-shamed by companies who wouldn’t lend her clothes for the show.

“I was never the prettiest girl on the show. I never had the best body,” Gemma stated.

“Obviously I was confident when I went on the show, but a lot of clothing brands wouldn’t lend me their clothing because they said I was too fat.

“I was a size 14/16, and you know I’m bigger now, and basically I’ve got my own clothing brand.”

Hitting back at the companies, Gemma flipped off the camera and said: “So to everyone who wouldn’t lend me clothing or put me in their brands, what you got to say now, huns?”
