Gareth Gates reportedly asked Faye Brookes to give back her £30,000 engagement ring, after they recently called it quits.
The singer proposed to the Coronation Street actress back in January, but the pair have since called off their engagement.
A source told The Sun Online: “The split has been really upsetting for both parties. Gareth asked Faye to hand the ring over after they broke up.”
The 31-year-old was reportedly “surprised” by his request, but handed over the four carat diamond ring “without a fuss”.
Gareth and Faye’s relationship over the past seven years hasn’t been smooth sailing, as the couple previously split in September last year.
At the time, it was alleged that Gareth’s “controlling” behaviour led to a series of furious rows.
However, the pair reunited and got engaged just four months later in NYC.
