Game of Thrones star Kit Harington “checked into luxury rehab” ahead of the show’s season finale.
Page Six are reporting that the actor went into the facility “for stress and alcohol use” just weeks before the end of the hit series.
Kit, 32, who played Jon Snow on the HBO series for eight years has been reportedly staying in a top-class retreat for nearly a month now.
The British actor is said to have been undergoing “psychological coaching, practicing mindful meditation and cognitive behavioural therapy to combat stress and deal with negative emotions”.
The top facility costs over $120,000 a month. His wife, Rose Leslie is being “extremely supportive” the publication added.
A rep for the star confirmed he had entered the facility to TMZ: “Kit has decided to utilize this break in his schedule as an opportunity to spend some time at a wellness retreat to work on some personal issues.”
“The end of ‘GoT’ really hit Kit hard,” a friend of the star told Page Six.
“He realised ‘this is it — this is the end’, it was something they had all worked so hard on for so many years. He had a moment of, what next?
“He’s in the clinic predominantly for stress and exhaustion and also alcohol.
“His wife Rose is being extremely supportive. Everyone close to him really wanted him to get some rest. Right now, he just needs peace and quiet.”
