Florence Pugh has slammed online trolls for criticising her relationship with boyfriend Zach Braff.

The 24-year-old actress has been in a relationship with the 45-year-old Scrubs star for about a year.

Florence was forced to defend their romance, when critics lashed out at the couple’s age gap on Instagram after she posted a birthday tribute to Zach.

In a video posted on Instagram, the Little Women star said she received a tonne of abuse just minutes after she posted the tribute.

“Within about eight minutes of the photo being posted I had about 70 people in the comments hurling abuse and being horrid, and bullying someone on my page,” she revealed.

“It is the first time in my entire Instagram life that I’ve had to turn off the comments on my page, I have never been an Instagram page that encourages that, I have never been an Instagram page that likes that toxic vibe.”

Florence addressed the issue of cyber-bullying, and told her followers that she wouldn’t allow negative comments on her social media platform.

“I will not allow that behaviour on my page, I’m not about that. It makes me upset, it makes me sad that during this time when we really all need to be together, we need to be supporting one another,” she said.

“I do not need you to tell me who I should and should not love, and I would never in my life ever tell anyone who they can and cannot love.”

The couple are currently self-isolating with one another in Los Angeles, amid the coronavirus pandemic.

On this week’s episode of The Gosscast, Goss.ie founder Ali Ryan and Editor Kendra Becker chat about the celebrities who are donating millions to help amid the coronavirus crisis, and the serious drama on Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

Plus, the girls discuss Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s controversial move to Hollywood.
