Cheryl is set to release new music as early as next year, as she’s reportedly heading back to the studio.
The new mum, who welcomed her first child Bear with her boyfriend Liam Payne in March, is eager to make a comeback in the charts with “a new sound” and some “big pop songs”.
It’s been three years since the former X Factor judge last released music – so the news is sure to delight her devoted fans.
“Cheryl met with her label to discuss ideas for songs and to plan a new sound,” a source told the Mirror.

“It went really well and she is going to be meeting with producers next month before she heads into the studio for some early sessions.”
Sources says that the former Girls Aloud star had been busy working on her solo music career before falling pregnant last year, but the singer has become a “different person” since becoming a mother.
Therefore, Cheryl is said to have “ditched” the music she was working on in order to focus on a new sound.
Meanwhile, Cheryl’s boyfriend Liam is currently promoting his debut solo single, Strip That Down, in the US.
